Kouchiboogaroo, Boutouche, Shediac, Victoria, Charlottetown

Good day everyone! Jon and I drove to Kouchibouguac National Park first thing this morning. The park had a nice boardwalk that lead to the beach. The area has long stretches of sand dunes. It was very nice. We walked along the water which was quite cold. We find that water here is a lot cooler than back home. As we were walking, we saw some jellyfishes washed up on the beach. They weren’t poisonous but they sting. It was the first time Jon and I have seen Jellyfishes in the wild. We also saw a red fox in the park. We bought a hot dog, a pogo and a chocolate dipped ice-cream cone. I had been craving an ice-cream cone since yesterday so I was happy to get one.

We then drove Boutouche and went to the Irving Ecocentre. This area was made of sand dunes and was occupied by oysters. We walked along the boardwalk. It was very pretty.

Afterwards, we drove to Shediac. We took pictures of a giant lobster. We also drove to the wharf and ate lobster at a fish market. Initially, we were going to eat at a restaurant near the end of the dock but the server told us to go to the fish market for the lobster dinner because it would be half the price. We listened and indeed, it was quite cheap. We ordered 2 lobster dinners for $28 in total. The lobster was delicious! We had a whole lobster which we had to break apart ourselves. Lobster bits were flying everywhere but it was fun. It was nice chowing down on your own lobster without hurting the bank.

We then drove to Parlee Beach but we didn’t want to pay for admission since we already went to two beaches.

We drove over the Confederation Bridge which took about 10 minutes to drive across. We are now in Price Edward Island. We drove to Victoria where we visited a few local shops. The sand here is sand. Very unusual but neat! We also had a 2 scoop ice-cream. It was tasty.

We’re now in Charlottetown where we’ll be staying the night. We were watching meteor showers here and we were quite fortunate to see a few.

Anyways, have a good night everyone!
