Sans internet; Perce

Hello! I have been told to notify you that Johnny and Lily are without internet right now. Not sure where they are, but you can bet they are being cheap, wearing their tilly hats, and making noodles in their hotel room.

Sarah/the sister

Edit:

Chicken noodle to be exact.

Happy 25th Birthday Charles, my fourth brother!

We hope everyone had a nice day. Jon and I drove to Gaspe beach. It was very nice. The water was clear and the sand was fine. It was nice seeing a beach that is not completely saturated with bodies like Kitsilano Beach. We also saw a cross that commemorated Jacques Cartier. There should have been a cross that Jacque Cartier planted in 1534. We weren’t sure if the one on the building was it but we took a picture just in case.

We then drove to Perce where we spent most of our time. We paid $25 each to take a boat around Perce Rock and to Bonaventure Island. Perce Rock was a massive rock that had a distinct hole. It is 88mm tall and about 3 tonnes of rock erodes every year.

Bonaventure Island has colonies of Gannets, or white birds. We took the shortest path called “des colonies” which was 2.8km, one way. It normally takes 45 minutes to walk it but Jon and I were speed walking the whole time. It took us under 30 minutes to get there.

Afterwards, we shared 2 pogos with fries and a mini pizza with salad. It was a good meal. We drove to Sainte Therese de Gaspe to buy some salted-dried codfish. We thought it may be a ready-to-eat product but it wasn’t. You have to boil it. We don’t have a working cooler so we didn’t buy it.

We crossed the border into New Brunswick. We drove by Campbellton and saw a large fish. We are staying at Kouchibouguac or as I’d like to call it “Kouchiboogaroo”. We’ll be going to the park here tomorrow.

Have a good night!
